Problem Note 56112: Spawned risk analysis project fails with "ERROR: A lock is not available for ENV_NAME.RD_DS_INSTRUMENT.DATA."
In SAS® Risk Dimensions®, when you attempt to spawn a risk analysis project, messages like the following might be generated:
ERROR: A lock is not available for environment-name.RD_DS_INSTRUMENT.DATA.
ERROR: Lock held by process 9054.
ERROR: Unable to create index on data set "RD_DS_INSTRUMENT".
ERROR: Portfolio data source "portfolio-source-name" was not found while the application was reading portfolio input list "portfolio-input-list-name".
NOTE: Errors occurred while the application was reading the portfolio data sources during the creation of portfolio file
"portfolio-file-name".
This problem occurs when you use the ENVIRONMENT SAVEAS= option to save or update a risk environment and then subsequently use multiple parallel processes to access the risk environment. This happens because, when the SAVEAS feature saves a new risk environment, it does not create index files that are needed in order to access the new environment.
There are no workarounds.
